A new state law recently passed, which established minimum standards to protect the health and well-being of clients of home care agencies. The law now requires employees of home care agencies, who provide personal care services, to successfully complete a state approved nurse aide training program. As an approved provider, OCEWD is offering a discounted Personal Care Assistant training for those who are employed by a home care agency.

Employers who are covering the cost to train their employees can save even more on tuition by applying for the state’s Employment and Training Fund (ETF). Qualified employers may save up to $760 by using ETF funding. Contact our coordinator for information and registration.

In order to offer this discount we need to have a minimum of twelve participants in each class. If your agency does not have enough employees to fill a class, check with our coordinator and we can try to group you with another class– or, you can work with other agencies to fill a class.
