​COM5116 - Microsoft Word II: Mail Merge and Marketing (Instructor Coached)

​Course Description
The Microsoft Word 2010 Intermediate course is ideal for experienced users interested in creating manuals, flyers, or office documents. Topics include mail-merge, form letters, templates, objects and images, envelopes, watermarks and background fills. Participants will also create and manage tables and data.

Learner Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate the mechanics and uses of Word tables to organize and present data.
2. Demonstrate working knowledge of using Word’s themes and clip art to create a variety of visual effects.
3. Demonstrate working knowledge of Word’s advanced formatting techniques and presentation styles.
4. Demonstrate applicable knowledge and uses of accepted business style formatting conventions.

"Instructor Coached" Courses*

Our instructor coached style of instruction allows you to progress at your own speed while receiving individualized attention and assistance from the instructor. This comfortable approach is ideal for adult learners or those who just need more time and assistance with course materials. Instruction ends when you have accomplished course competencies or by the course end date, whichever comes first.​
*Participants may start their instructor coached courses on any given Monday, depending upon seat availability. A 36-hour course typically takes 5 weeks to complete on the Mon-Thu, 2hr/day schedule or 2-1/2 weeks if you choose 4hr/day schedule.
