​COM5135 - Business Presentations Using PowerPoint 2016 Level I (Instructor Coached)

​Course Description
Ever want to make a 'splashy' presentation or creative flier? This introductory course will give first-timers enough skills to feel confident with PowerPoint and provide a great start. The course begins with navigating the PowerPoint ribbon, then moves on to selecting themes and templates, creating slides, adding bullets, selecting layouts, copying objects, editing slides, formatting text, adding sounds, transitions, clipart and delivering the slideshow including printing handouts.Students may start their instructor coached courses on any given Monday, dependent upon seat availability. A 36-hour course typically takes 5 weeks to complete on the M-Th, 2hr/day schedule or 2 1/2 weeks if you choose 4hr/day schedule. Please call the program coordinator to determine exact start dates/end dates and seat availability.

Learner Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course participants will be able to:
1. Demonstrate the basic mechanics of creating a PowerPoint presentation.
2. Demonstrate introductory formatting techniques and presentation styles.
3. Demonstrate working knowledge of using clip art to enhance ideas and information in a PowerPoint presentation.
4. Demonstrate working knowledge of integrating information from other Microsoft programs into a PowerPoint presentation.

​Our instructor coached style of instruction allows you to progress at your own speed while receiving individualized attention and assistance from the instructor. This comfortable approach is ideal for adult learners or those who just need more time and assistance with course materials. Instruction ends when you have accomplished course competencies or by the course end date, whichever comes first.

*Participants may start their instructor coached courses on any given Monday, depending upon seat availability. A 36-hour course typically takes 5 weeks to complete on the Mon-Thu, 2hr/day schedule or 2-1/2 weeks if you choose 4hr/day schedule.
