Hawaii HOSA now has a chapter right here at Leeward CC. HOSA is a national student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of ACTE. HOSA’s two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA’s goal is to encourage all health science instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.

Leeward HOSA Brings Home the Hardware from Anaheim

Approximately 250 members of Hawaii HOSA recently traveled to Anaheim (CA) for the annual HOSA National Leadership Conference, which hosted over 8,500 students from all over the nation. Competing in various skill events, Hawaii HOSA totaled 9 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze medals. The contingent from Leeward CC HOSA - Jadon Agas, Alexander Huang, and Brandon Piamonte - proudly represented our campus and brought back two medals. CONGRATULATIONS to Alexander Huang, who won GOLD in Physical Therapy, and Brandon Piamonte, who won BRONZE in Sports Medicine.
