​COM5125 - Microsoft Excel I: Fundamentals of Excel (Instructor Coached)

​Course Description
This introductory course will guide participants step-by-step through case-based projects. Participants will build a solid foundation using Microsoft Excel 2010 to analyze data, format and edit worksheets and use several basic functions. Participants will learn to work with multiple worksheets, tables, and incorporate visual elements into the worksheets.

Learner Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course participants will be able to:
1. Demonstrate basic knowledge navigating the Word Ribbon Interface.
2. Demonstrate the basic mechanics of creating Word documents for office use.
3. Demonstrate introductory formatting techniques and presentation styles.
4. Demonstrate working knowledge of producing a mail merge.

"Instructor Coached" Courses*

Our instructor coached style of instruction allows you to progress at your own speed while receiving individualized attention and assistance from the instructor. This comfortable approach is ideal for adult learners or those who just need more time and assistance with course materials. Instruction ends when you have accomplished course competencies or by the course end date, whichever comes first.
*Participants may start their instructor coached courses on any given Monday, depending upon seat availability. A 36-hour course typically takes 5 weeks to complete on the Mon-Thu, 2hr/day schedule or 2-1/2 weeks if you choose 4hr/day schedule. Please call 455-0477 to determine exact start/end dates and seat availability.
