Supply Warehouse Worker

Job Description
​Provide technical skills and knowledge , and hands on work in the direct operation of the warehouse and affiliated functions.
  • Review job tickets for the day, paying attention to the specifics and notes on each ticket.
  • Basic mathematics and ability to read a tape measure.  Understanding of basic mathematical calculations and fractions (as it applies to freight, dimensions, cubic feet, etc.)
  • Pull orders as necessary, double checking to make sure no overages or shortages are released.
  • Upkeep of inventory and notifying your supervisor when discrepancies in stock levels are found.
  • Handle materials through unloading of containers, stocking of items in their correct locations, moving of items as needed to create more space in the warehouse or on racks.
  • Deliver, pick-up, cut products,  roll products, shrink wrap and palletize products when required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to organize multiple deliveris on one run to be the most efficient and time effective.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse and products to maintain a neat appearance.
  • Maintenance of delivery vehicles and forklifts.  Check vehicle fluids and tires weekly, wash vehicles as needed, fuel vehicles, and keep vehicle logs.
  • Engage in customer and vendor interactions and maintain sound relationships.  Handle walk-in customers and WILL CALLS and provide excellent customer service.
  • Open the warehouse in the morning and secure the warehouse in the evening.
Qualifications
  • Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Due to the nature of this industry, employee may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the company.  In addition, attendance at all scheduled meetings and training sessions is required.
  • Must be able to push/pull/lift 50+ lbs. and be able to be on their feet for up to an 8 hour work day.
  • Partnerships with sister companies and employees in assisting with their needs when required.
  • Employee is required to fully comply with the rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of company vehicles and property.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift, electric roller, metal shearer.
  • Must show initiative and willingness to cooperate with others in achieving company goals.  Check with your supervisor, when time allows, to find out if other tasks are needed to be completed.
  • Accomplish tasks as required in a timely manner, and have pride in workmanship.

Job Description
Assist in maintaining facility and equipment in a safe and operational state of readiness.
  • Develop a good understanding of how bakery process equipment should work.
  • Perform daily inspections of the plant facility. Make necessary repairs and document your work.
  • Review with the Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Chief Engineer on an ongoing basis current engineering practices in order to identify possible improvements.
  • Check with equipment operators on an ongoing basis to identify equipment problems or service requirements.
  • Have a good basic knowledge in areas such as welding, electricity, refrigeration, pneumatics, hydraulics, steam and gear drives.
  • Have a basic understanding of PLC troubleshooting and programming.
  • Return all maintenance equipment to the shop in a clean and operational state. In addition, all plant equipment should be left in a sanitary, safe and operational state.
  • Have the ability to lead his/her own shift in a responsible manner.
Minimum Qualifications Requirements
  • Skills/Knowledge: some mechanical, electrical, welding, refrigeration, plumbing and machining skills, cognitive skills (reading and writing); able to do calculations
  • Education/Experience: high school diploma or equivalent; trade school.
